After a year of waiting, Jennifer Lopez finally revealed the release date for her new album This Is Me… Now. On Monday morning (November 27th), the singer informed fans that not only will they be getting new music soon, but a film inspired by the music on the album.
This Is Me… Now and This Is Me… Now: The Film will both drop on February 16th, 2024. “Hear it. See it. Live it,” JLo wrote on Sunday, November 26th, to tease today’s announcement. The teaser video also came with a note from the singer that read, “This musical experience is a manifestation, through music, film, and reality, of a life’s journey on the search for the truth about love.”
To keep fans engaged until February, JLo is set to release the inaugural single from her album titled “Can’t Get Enough.” This track is slated for a January 10th, 2024 launch, arriving approximately a month before the full release of ‘This Is Me…Now.’
According to a press release, “This Is Me…Now: The Film” promises a unique viewing experience from Jennifer Lopez. Described as a narrative-driven, intimate, reflective, and visually captivating musical journey, the film delves into her love life under public scrutiny. It’s expected to be a blend of sexy, funny, fantastical, and deeply engaging elements. Despite its vivid spectacle, the film aims to serve as a heartfelt tribute to JLo’s journey toward self-healing, emphasizing her enduring belief in fairy-tale endings. Audiences are anticipated to be enthralled and leave with a sense of hope that genuine love can transcend mere fantasy.
In November 2022, Jennifer Lopez commemorated the 20th anniversary of her 2002 album ‘This Is Me… Then’ by announcing the forthcoming release of its sequel.
